What is the Toyota Camry Maintenance Schedule?

As a proud Toyota owner, you want to keep your Camry running at its best for years and miles to come. One of the simplest ways you can make sure your Camry is fit for the road is by taking your car in for maintenance when it needs service. The manufacturer recommends precise Toyota Camry service intervals by model year, drivetrain, and engine. In most cases, the Toyota Camry maintenance schedule starts at 15,000 miles. Your sedan will then need upkeep at 30,000 miles and periodically after that until it gets to 90,000 miles.

15,000-Mile Service

The Camry's first full service appointment is at 15,000 miles. When the Camry reaches this mileage it will have the floor mats on the driver's side checked to make sure they are secure and safely installed. The wipers and blades are checked for safety and performance. Since the Camry should have its oil changed about 8,000 miles, a Toyota technician will perform another oil change. The Camry may gets its engine filter replaced as well.

30,000-Mile Service

At 30,000 miles your Camry will have a new cabin air filter installed, as the original one will likely have picked up a fair amount of dirt and debris by this point. The brakes are also fully inspected at 30,000 miles. The brakes are checked for signs of excessive wear, as are other braking components including the rotors, discs, and drum linings. The clutch is checked if you drive a manual, along with the clutch fluid. The brake pedal and parking brake are also inspected.

60,000-Mile service

When your Camry gets to 60,000 miles it will have more service performed to ensure it is safe and road-worthy. For the Camry, the 60,000-mile service mark brings another inspection of the driver's floor mat. The brakes are checked again, and the tires are balanced and rotated. The Camry's battery gets inspected for power and safety, including a visual check of its wiring, cables, and other connections. The seat belts and safety equipment are checked, and a mechanic will take your car for a road test.

90,000-Mile Service

One of the final Toyota Camry service intervals occurs at 90,000 miles. All the car's main fluids are checked for level and quality. If the fluids need to be changed or replenished, a mechanic will take care of that. The Camry may also be due for new spark plugs at 90,000 miles.
