Performance
When you think of sedans that you can buy, the Toyota Corolla is one of the tops on the market. The Toyota Corolla has been around for more than a decade, and it has remained a top choice in its class for a good reason. The Toyota Corolla makes a name for itself for its comfortable ride, exceptionally high fuel economy ratings, user-friendly controls, and many standard safety components. The Corolla enters its 12th year of production in 2022 without any significant changes. The Corolla is available in five appealing trims, which start with the base trim called the L. While the L provides many standard amenities, you may consider upgrading to the LE, which is the second trim, if you want additional features while still keeping costs on the lower side.
Performance
Performance is the same for the Toyota Corolla in both the L and the LE trim levels. Both trims use a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 1.8L displacement. When you choose to get the L or the LE, you will get the same power output of 139 HP. Both trims have a continuously variable automatic transmission that provides a comfortable ride and smooth gear shifting. The 2022 Toyota Corolla has front-wheel drive with both trim levels.
Appearance
The 2022 Toyota Corolla has LED headlights, and it comes with 15-inch wheels that have a steel finish. The Corolla is available in over 15 different paint colors, including several two-tone color schemes. The base trim level and the LE both have a sporty mesh-covered front grille with a black finish. The LE upgrades from 15-inch wheels to 16-inch wheels. It also comes with heated side mirrors that are power-adjustable, and you can also get a few additional colors on this trim level.
Features
Standard features are numerous on both the L and the LE. The L includes a touchscreen with a seven-inch display. It also comes with dual USB ports, and the LE adds a third USB port in the rear. Cloth seats come with the L, while the LE upgrades to premium upholstery. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard across the lineup. The LE adds a larger infotainment screen to the list of amenities that you'll get, and it also has heated front seats. The L starts off with adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure warning for safety.
