Do you have a creative kid with a knack for art? If so, you will definitely want to check out the global phenomenon that is the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. The art contest, now in its 6th year, gives your little artists and engineers the opportunity to create a paper prototype of their “Dream Car” for a shot at an awesome prize.

“When I see a young person’s vision of how technology and the auto industry should shape our world for the better, I’m always inspired by their creativity,” said Mike Groff, President & CEO of Toyota Financial Services. “What they imagine today could become the cars we see tomorrow. The Dream Car Art Contest is about so much more than the terrific paintings and drawings these kids create; it’s about motivating them to become our future engineers, scientists, designers and leaders.”

From now until Tuesday, January 31, 2017, kids ages 4-15 can submit their hand-created picture of their one-of-a-kind dream vehicle. The contest is divided into three age categories (4-7 years; 8-11 years; 12-15 years), and will be judged according to these criteria: execution, uniqueness and artistry.

Now to the best part: the prizes. Nine participants will win iPads, and will go on to compete at the World Contest with participants from over 80 countries. From there, thirty winners will be chosen and awarded a free trip to Tokyo to participate in the August awards ceremony. World winners will take home gold, silver or bronze medals, or the title of “Best Finalist.”
