What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tundra?
The 2021 Toyota Tundra has new looks and amenities this year. A new paint color is offered for the TRD Pro, which is one of the Toyota Tundra's top trim levels. The Tundra is also released in two new trim levels for 2021, the Nightshade and the Trail Special Edition. The Nightshade trim has a custom black exterior with a blacked-out interior as well, including black seats. The Nightshade otherwise has mostly the same features as the Limited trim. The Trail Special Edition brings some more off-road amenities to the table. The Trail Special Edition comes with skid plates, all-terrain tires, and plenty of interior storage space.
2021 Tundra Trims and Features
The 2021 Toyota is made in six trims. The first trim is the SR. The SR starts with all the basics plus more. Its long list of standard amenities includes a seven-inch touchscreen display with smartphone pairing, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The SR has 18-inch wheels and automatic headlights as well.
The SR5, which is the second trim, adds the SR's amenities and more. With the SR5, you will get upgraded seats and a slightly larger infotainment display screen that is eight inches instead of seven.
The SR5 also has a more visible exterior with the addition of LED fog lights. It has seating for six occupants and gets 18-inch wheels with unique styling. This trim is eligible for sport and off-road packages. The Limited adds some additional amenities, including smart key entry, 20-inch wheels with a five-spoke design, and LED lights with LED accents.
The Platinum gets heated and leather-trimmed seats that are ventilated in the front row as well. A premium sound system and dynamic navigation are included. The TRD Pro adds black alloy wheels and special sport-tuned shocks.

2021 Toyota Tundra Horsepower
The Toyota Tundra has the same engine across the trim lineup, a 5.7L gasoline engine with an eight-cylinder configuration. The Tundra's engine is capable of 380 HP and about 400 LB-FT of torque. It is paired with an automatic transmission on all trims, which is a six-speed, but you have the choice of getting four-wheel drive with some Tundra trims.
Toyota Tundra Safety
A backup camera is standard on the 2021 Tundra. It also gets Toyota's Safety Sense package with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, radar cruise control, and automatic high beams. Parking sensors are available.
